As a student in singapore

Guess what happened at wednesday 18 april 2010? We went to Bedok Reservoir for our community Involvement Programme(CIP).We picked up litter.It was drizzling that day .Teacher -in-charge told us that we will continue with our project .While we were doing our community work,there was a ligthning alarm.We walked briskly to the front to get on the bus.However the bus took 15 minutes to get there.Luckily,some of our friends bought umbrellas.We felt satisfied that we had helped clean up the Bedok Reservoir.

Christmas Day

Christmas is about a grand celebration among the people in the world . we celebrate christmas for 12 days and it helds on 25 December . Many people celebrated it in their house as they decorated their house with full of balloons , games and other nice things . About HARI RAYA and Deepavali

Now that you know about Chinese New Year , let's talk about Hari Raya and Deepavali .Hari Raya is celebrated by our Muslims in Singapore. They celebrate this for 1 month because they have finished their fasting month. It is a grand celebration where they have cakes,desserts and other types of festival food.They will wear traditional clothes like this one here >

Let's talk about Deepavali now . It is a celebration by our Hindus .They celebrate this because long ago, god Krishna the lord, brought happiness to the world . he fought evil and protected them.That why it is a festive of lights .They also wear traditional clothes . A long time ago,a boy went hiking at the peek of the hill.As he was hiking,a monster named 'NIAN' approched to the village.The monster was scary,hairy and huge.The boy ran back to the village and told all the villagers about the monster.A old man told them that the monster is scared of the colour red.So all the villagers came out wearing red clothes and showed the chinese charecter "Blessed".The monster disappeared and was no longer seen.So that is why the Chinese wear red clothes.
